Trump told NBC that Iranian leaders “talk much differently when you’re at a meeting than they do to the press. They’re much more reasonable.” He also warned that it would be “very painful” for Iran if a peace deal isn’t reached.

Israel-Lebanon Talks Scheduled amid Ongoing Strikes

Israel and Lebanon are set to meet for peace talks next Tuesday in Washington, D.C. This came after Trump phoned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, urging him to ease missile attacks against Lebanon.

“I spoke with Bibi and he’s going to low-key it,” Trump said. “I just think we have to be sort of a little more low-key.”

Netanyahu said on Thursday that Israel will continue to strike Lebanon ahead of the talks between the two sides and until Northern Israel is secure.
