Earlier this week, a viral video posted by YouTuber Nick Shirley highlighted several seemingly inactive Minnesota daycare centers that were still receiving funding from the state.

“Tim Waltz of Minnesota is a Crooked Governor!!!” Trump said in a Truth Social post on Wednesday.
Fraud Allegations Spark Political Clash in Minnesota
On Tuesday, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced that it would freeze all child care payments to Minnesota as the investigation continues. “Funds will be released only when states prove they are being spent legitimately,” said Deputy Secretary of HHS Jim O’Neill.
In response, Walz accused Trump of using the fraud accusations as “an excuse to hurt working Minnesotans” and called out Trump for releasing “fraudsters out of jail.”
