President Trump spoke with Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet on Friday morning and said that the two leaders have agreed to resume a ceasefire as of this evening.

“Both Countries are ready for PEACE and continued Trade with the United States of America,” Trump said in a Truth Social post.
Trump Uses Trade Leverage to Broker Peace
Tensions rose earlier this week after the two countries accused each other of attacking first. Thailand alleged that it sent airstrikes against Cambodia in response to a Cambodian attack on the border province that harmed Thai soldiers.
The two countries previously agreed to a peace deal brokered by Malaysia in October, with Trump attending the ceremony. Trump pressured the two countries to end the violence and used trade as a negotiation tactic.
