Trump Resumes Threats of Cutting Musk’s Subsidies
Over the weekend, Musk characterized Trump’s megabill as “utterly insane and destructive” and said that it would destroy millions of jobs for Americans. Musk also said that the bill would harm the solar and wind energy industries in the U.S.
“No more Rocket launches, Satellites, or Electric Car Production, and our Country would save a FORTUNE,” said Trump in a Truth Social post. “Perhaps we should have DOGE take a good, hard, look at this?” He added that Musk’s companies would probably struggle without subsidies and that he would have to “head back home to South Africa.”
TSLA stock is down by 6.67% at the time of writing.
