“I am saddened to watch Elon Musk go completely ‘off the rails,’ essentially becoming a TRAIN WRECK over the past five weeks,” said Trump on Truth Social. He added that Musk was aware of his plan to terminate the EV mandate before he was elected president.
Musk to Launch New Political Party
Musk is planning on creating a new political party called the “America Party” to take on the two-party system. Over the weekend, he posted an X poll that asked if he should proceed with the plan, with 65.4% of participants responding “yes” and 34.6% responding “no.”
“Today, the America Party is formed to give you back your freedom,” said Musk on Sunday.
Tesla (TSLA) isn’t responding well to Musk’s new party plans since it could mean that he would dedicate less of his time and attention to the EV company. TSLA stock is down by 7.84% at the time of writing.
