Trump Prepares Tariff Blitz on Nearly 200 Countries

President Trump is set to send nearly 200 tariff letters to countries that have not reached a trade agreement with the U.S. The rates will either be 10% or 15%, said Trump on Friday morning at the White House. He also added that he is considering providing Americans with rebate checks from the tariff revenue, subject to their income.

“We’re thinking about that actually — we have so much money coming in, we’re thinking about a little rebate,” Trump said.

U.S. Nearing Trade Deals with Key Partners

Trump said that he would meet United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer tonight, although GB News political editor Christopher Hope said in an X post that the meeting won’t take place until Monday.

Additionally, Trump mentioned that the European Union has a “pretty good chance” of securing a deal while the U.S. hasn’t “had a lot of luck with Canada.” Trump also said that trade progress with China was in a good position.
