President Trump will hold a meeting with Nvidia (NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang on Thursday, according to Bloomberg. The meeting comes just days before Huang’s trip to China next Wednesday, where he will attend the International Supply Chain Expo in Beijing with plans to speak to top Chinese officials.

Sources familiar with the matter didn’t provide additional details about the discussion. Earlier this week, Nvidia became the first company to reach a $4 trillion market capitalization.
Nvidia Plans New AI Chip for China
Nvidia is working on a new AI chip for China in order to sidestep U.S. export curbs, according to the Financial Times. The chip will be an alternate version of the company’s Blackwell RTX Pro 6000 processor.
U.S. curbs on Nvidia’s chip exports have taken a noticeable chunk out of the semiconductor leader’s sales. Huang has frequently advocated for providing China with greater access to Nvidia’s chips.
NVDA stock is up by 22.23% year-to-date.
