Trump to Cover Iran War, NATO in Evening Speech

The U.S. was a founding member of NATO, which was formed in 1949 to protect members through collective security. To pull out of NATO, the U.S. must submit a written notice to the organization and then wait a year before the withdrawal takes effect. It would also likely require congressional approval.

Trump is set to deliver a speech at 9 p.m. Eastern Time today to provide an update on the war. He said that one of the topics that will be covered is his dissatisfaction with NATO in the conflict.
