Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Friday that he expects to meet with President Trump over the weekend and discuss a 20-point Ukraine-Russia peace plan that “is about 90% ready.”

Zelenskyy added that Ukraine currently has no line of direct communication with Russia and that he favors the virtual presence of European leaders at the meeting, as the peace deal cannot be enacted without their approval.
Ukraine Pushes 20-Point Peace Plan as Talks Continue
Proposals under the 20-point plan include Ukraine receiving guaranteed sovereignty, security agreements, and economic recovery assistance. Zelenskyy noted that discussions surrounding control of Ukrainian territory and the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant are still in progress.
Last month, Trump proposed a 28-point plan to end the war between the two countries, although many considered the plan to be heavily skewed in Russia’s favor.
