Meta Platforms’ (META) CEO Mark Zuckerberg has been ordered by a Los Angeles judge to testify at the first trial over the adverse effects of social media on younger users, CNBC’s Samantha Subin reports. Snap‘s (SNAP) Evan Spiegel and Instagram’s Adam Mosseri have also been ordered to testify at the trial being held in January, according to the report. The trial is one of many alleging that social media technology companies have deliberately created platforms and addictive features that cause harm to younger users, Subin writes.
