Wells Fargo (WFC) has stopped all travel to China after a banker was prohibited from leaving the country, Reuters’ Manya Saini and Nupur Anand report, citing a person familiar with the matter. The lender’s Chenyue Mao experienced an exit ban after she went to China in recent weeks, the author notes, citing an earlier report from the Wall Street Journal. “We are closely tracking this situation and working through the appropriate channels so our employee can return to the United States as soon as possible,” Wells Fargo told Reuters in an email.
