Wells Fargo downgraded Webster Financial (WBS) to Underweight from Equal Weight with a $70 price target as the firm transferred coverage of the stock. The firm sees higher deal risk after President Trump said that trade with Spain will be halted, stating that it extrapolates this comment to mean that U.S. regulatory approval for Banco Santander (SAN) to acquire Webster will be “incrementally harder to obtain.”
