Bernstein analyst Zhihan Ma raised the firm’s price target on Walmart (WMT) to $145 from $134 and keeps an Outperform rating on the shares. Q1 will be one of bifurcating fates, the firm argues. Bernstein believes the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” stimulus will be a boost to comparable sales momentum for many retailers catering to the higher-income consumers. However, fuel pressures, general inflation, and reductions in social transfers, are likely to be an offset to some, and might imperil the quality of the print for others.
