DA Davidson lowered the firm’s price target on Wabash (WNC) to $14 from $18 and keeps a Neutral rating on the shares. ACT Research data for January showed that orders were up 51% Y/Y for the month, thanks to very easy comps, but this still ranks in the lower half of the Januarys of the last 15 years, while backlogs were down 39% Y/Y and shipments were down 26% Y/Y, the analyst tells investors in a research note. The firm is hopeful that conditions could turn soon, but there has not been much evidence of this yet, DA Davidson added.
