Last year, Volkswagen (VWAGY) was overtaken by Geely Auto (GELYF) in sales in China, Reuters reports. Volkswagen has now dropped to third place in the Chinese market after losing its dominant position to BYD (BYDDF) in 2024. The company’s two joint ventures in the country held a combined 10.9% in retail sales while Geely Auto’s held 11% and BYD held 14.7%.
