Viper Energy (VNOM), the mineral and royalty business of Diamondback Energy (FANG), is weighing the sale of asset soutside of the Permian Base of West Texas and New Mexico, Bloomberg’s David Carnevali and David Wethe report, citing people familiar with the matter. Though it isn’t clear what the assets would bring in should a sale occur, they are part of Viper’s recent $4.1B takeover of Sitio Royalties, the authors say.
