Rothschild & Co Redburn analyst Russell Quelch downgraded Verisk Analytics (VRSK) to Sell from Neutral with a $220 price target The firm says the company’s downside risks are not priced into the shares. The acquisition of AccuLynx will dilute Verisk’s invested capital and require a notable increase in leverage, the analyst tells investors in a research note. Meanwhile, Rothschild says the company is investing heavily in artificial intelligence to defend its incumbent position in an industry that “appears ripe for disruption.” It sees Verisk’s valuation as “still too rich” in the context of falling organic sales growth.
