Vecima Networks says TX Fiber launches network with XGS-PON deployment

Vecima Networks (VNWTF) has deployed a next-generation 10-gigabit fiber network powered by its Entra XGS-PON Solution. The deployment delivers symmetrical multi-gigabit internet service to residents and businesses across TX Fiber’s service territory in the Rio Grande Valley, closing the broadband gap between South Texas and the nation’s largest metros. With the launch, TX Fiber becomes one of the first independent providers in South Texas to offer symmetrical 10 Gbps-capable service over a fully modern XGS-PON fiber platform. The deployment positions TX Fiber to scale bandwidth to meet the fast-growing demand from residential customers, small businesses, enterprise accounts, and emerging use cases, including 5G backhaul, telehealth, remote work, and AI-powered applications and services.
