In a communication to the market, Vale (VALE) stated: “In continuation of the Material Fact released on December 30, 2024, Vale S.A. informs that, within the scope of a mediation conducted by the Federal Court of Auditors, it was not possible to reach a consensus with the National Land Transportation Agency and the Federal Union, represented by the Ministry of Transportation, within the deadline established for the renegotiation of the Concession Agreements for the Carajas Railway and the Vitoria-Minas Railway. The Concession Agreements, which were extended early until 2057 by addendums established on December 16, 2020, remain in force. Vale remains committed to the general framework for the renegotiation established in the agreement signed on December 30, 2024. Vale is in good standing and will continue to fulfill all obligations under the Concession Agreements and will adopt the necessary measures to ensure its rights and responsibilities.”
