United Natural Foods (UNFI), the main distributor for Amazon’s (AMZN) Whole Foods Market, is aiming to restore its systems and resume product deliveries by June 15 following a cyberattack that disrupted operations and left some store shelves empty, Cameron Fozi, Margi Murphy and Jake Bleiberg of Bloomberg reported, citing an email sent to customers. The company shut down its IT systems and restricted shipments after discovering on June 5 that its network had been breached, CEO Sandy Douglas said during Tuesday’s earnings call. While recovery efforts continue, United Natural Foods is working closely with customers to implement temporary solutions wherever possible. Cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike (CRWD) is helping the company respond to the incident, according to Bloomberg.
