UBS (UBS) Group is in advanced talks to form a strategic partnership with General Atlantic to enter the $1.6T private credit market, Bloomberg’s Gillian Tan, Jan-Henrik Foerster, and Silas Brown report, citing people familiar with the matter. The partnership would involve UBS’s investment bank originating loans, with GA Credit receiving preferred status, and will focus on borrowers in North America and Europe, the report added. Shares of UBS are up 2.6% in afternoon trading.
