Uber (UBER) and Lyft (LYFT) are partnering with Baidu (BIDU) to test out driverless taxis in the U.K. in 2026, Reuters reports. Uber and Lyft have abandoned in-house development of autonomous vehicles and will instead rely on partnerships to accelerate the adoption of such. These partnerships will position London as an early proving ground for expanding the services in Europe.
