The U.S. and Russia are working on a truce deal to end the war in Ukraine that would lock in Russia’s occupation of territory seized during its military invasion, Donato Paolo Mancini, Alberto Nardelli and Daryna Krasnolutska of Bloomberg report, citing people familiar with the matter. U.S. and Russian officials are working toward an agreement on territories for a planned summit meeting between Presidents Trump and Putin as early as next week, sources told Bloomberg. America is working on the deal getting support from the Ukraine and European allies, which is far from certain, the people added.
