U.S. NHTSA end probe into Tesla’s ‘actually smart summon’ feature, Reuters says

The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, NHTSA, has closed an investigation into Tesla’s (TSLA) “actually smart summon” feature, which covered about 2.59M vehicles, which allowed users to remotely move vehicles short distances in parking areas or private property, Reuters reports. The NHTSA concluded the feature was linked to low-speed incidents resulting in minor property damage, but no reported injuries or fatalities. Regulators decided the low frequency and severity of incidents did not warrant further action at this time.
