U.S. House withdraws broadband deployment bill from floor, Punchbowl says

U.S. House Republican leadership is withdrawing from its plan to pass the American Broadband Deployment Act this week, as the GOP didn’t have the votes to pass the measure amid opposition from local governments, Punchbowl News’ Jake Sherman reports. Publicly traded companies in the broadband space include Comcast (CMCSA), Charter (CHTR), and Optimum Communications (OPTU).
