The U.S. recently approved several billion dollars’ worth of Nvidia (NVDA) chip exports to American customers to be used in projects in the United Arab Emirates, UAE, Mackenzie Hawkins of Bloomberg reports. The Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security issued Nvidia the export licenses under the terms of a bilateral AI agreement made in May, people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg. While all the customers are not yet known, sources did say the approved shipments are for American companies, including Oracle (ORCL), operating in the Gulf nation.
