TSMC (TSM) deputy co-COO Kevin Zhang said the company intends to hold off on deploying ASML‘s (ASML) cutting-edge lithography machines for semiconductor production through 2029 in a cost-cutting move, Bloomberg’s Ian King and Debby Wu report. ASML’s most recent high numerical aperture ultraviolet lithography machines fetch as much as EUR350M per machine, the authors note.
