President Donald Trump says he will likely extend a deadline for China-based ByteDance to divest the U.S. assets of TikTok, Reuters’ Jeff Mason and Kanishka Singh reports. “Probably, yeah,” Trump said to reporters on Air Force One when asked about extending the deadline. “Probably have to get China approval but I think we’ll get it. I think President Xi will ultimately approve it.” Publicly traded companies in the social media space include Meta (META), Pinterest (PINS), Reddit (RDDT) and Snap (SNAP).
