President Donald Trump is set to make an announcement on the path forward for his plan for a “Golden Dome” missile-defense shield, Reuters’ Mike Stone and Doina Chiacu report, citing a U.S. official. Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth are set to make the announcement at 3 pm on Tuesday, the White House said in an update to the president’s schedule. Golden Dome is estimated to cost tens of billions of dollars and take years to implement, as the program faces both political scrutiny and funding uncertainty. Publicly traded defense contractors include BAE Systems (BAESY), Boeing (BA), General Dynamics (GD), HII (HII), L3Harris Technologies (LHX), Lockheed Martin (LMT), Northrop Grumman (NOC), RTX (RTX) and Palantir (PLTR).
