President Donald Trump told The New York Post that U.S. warships are being reloaded with “the best ammunition” to resume strikes on Iran if peace talks in Pakistan fail. Vice President JD Vance and special envoy Steve Witkoff are traveling to Islamabad to negotiate a final peace deal after a two-week cease-fire agreement was struck earlier this week. “We’re going to find out in about 24 hours. We’re going to know soon,” Trump is quoted as having said in a phone interview when asked if he thought the talks would be successful.
