Toyota (TM) Motors president of the Japanese carmaker’s hydrogen arm, Mitsumasa Yamagata, has warned vehicles powered by green fuel could suffer the same fate as battery-powered electric cars, with Chinese groups dominating supply chains and exports unless other countries improve their investments in the technology, Harry Dempsey of The Financial Times reports. China has already taken the lead in infrastructure for hydrogen trucks and the country accounts for most of the world’s hydrogen commercial vehicle sales.
