Toyota (TM) is conducting a safety recall involving certain model year 2025-2026 Lexus LX 600 vehicles. Approximately 4,400 vehicles are involved in this recall in the U.S. “A software issue can allow the transmission to damage itself under certain conditions. This can lead to loss of motive power while driving at higher speeds, which can increase the risk of a crash. It can also lead to a transmission fluid leak that can increase the risk of vehicle fire in the presence of an ignition source. For all involved vehicles, Lexus dealers will update the software in the transmission control computer, free of charge to the customer. Owners of involved vehicles will be notified by late-April 2026,” the company stated.
