TotalEnergies (TTE) needs Mozambique’s approval for a $4.5B increase in costs to its liquefied natural gas, LNG, project due to “incremental costs incurred” by the onshore facility during the site’s closure, Paul Burkhardt and Francois de Beaupuy of Bloomberg reports. The approval is required before restarting construction at the site, which has been delayed since 2021 due to security issues.
