Tesla (TSLA) has reported five additional Robotaxi crashes in Austin, bringing the total to 14 incidents since the June 2025 launch, Electrek’s Fred Lambert reports. According to new data filed with the NHTSA, Tesla disclosed five January 2026 crash reports involving autonomous “verified engaged” Model Y vehicles, including collisions with a bus, a heavy truck, fixed objects, and low-speed backing incidents. The update also revised a prior crash to include a hospitalization, Lambert writes.
