Goldman Sachs downgraded StoneCo (STNE) to Neutral from Buy with a price target of $14, down from $20. The firm sees weaker earnings for the company from payment volume underperformance relative to the industry. This will drive market share losses for StoneCo, the analyst tells investors in a research note. Goldman believes peer PagSeguro (PAGS) “screens more favorably” during 2026 due to an easier compares as it recovers from weak trends in 2025.
