Stifel noted that Reuters reported this morning that Japan’s NEC is considering making a bid for CSG Systems (CSGS) and that talks between the two are in “early stages.” NEC owns Netcracker, which is generally viewed as the number three player in the industry in terms of size, after Amdocs (DOX) and CSG, notes the analyst, who wouldn’t anticipate “material antitrust issues” with a combination of CSG and NEC’s Netracker. Stifel keeps a Buy rating on CSG Systems shares.
