Activist investor Starboard Value has taken a nearly 5% stake in Clearwater Analytics (CWAN) and wants the company to boost its share price and run a robust sales process with independent advisers, two people familiar with the matter told Reuters’ Svea Herbst-Bayliss. Starboard thinks Clearwater Analytics’ business is significantly undervalued by investors, according to sources familiar with the matter, adding that Starboard and the company have communicated privately.
