Standex acquires McStarlite for $56.5M

Standex (SXI) has acquired privately-held, California-based McStarlite, a provider of complex sheet metal aerospace components, for approximately $56.5M in cash, financed from Standex’s existing revolver. In its first year of ownership, the company expects the acquisition to be accretive to its earnings. McStarlite will be reported as part of Standex’s Engineering Technologies Group business segment. In calendar year 2024, McStarlite revenue was approximately $33M with an adjusted EBITDA margin above 20%. With four facilities in Harbor City, CA, McStarlite is a sheet metal specialist in the forming of some of the largest, most complex sheet metal components. It designs and manufactures cold deep draw and bulge-formed aviation components.
