Spirit AeroSystems (SPR) announced that, at the special meeting of its shareholders held earlier, its shareholders voted to approve the proposed acquisition of Spirit AeroSystems by The Boeing Company (BA). The transaction, announced last summer, is expected to close in mid-2025, subject to closing conditions including the receipt of regulatory approvals.
