Piper Sandler downgraded SoundHound (SOUN) to Neutral from Overweight with an unchanged price target of $12. The firm says SoundHound is trying to achieve profitability while investing in Amelia’s success. It is “hard to do both,” the analyst tells investors in a research note. Piper remains constructive on the company’s long-term opportunities and admits execution in the second half of 2025 “could create a squeeze on shares.” But fundamentally, the analyst sees a balanced risk/reward at current share levels.
