During the company’s earnings call, Sony (SONY) CFO Lin Tao said the PlayStation maker is weighing “passing on” the price of tariffs to consumers to mitigate the effects on its bottom line, The Verge’s Dominic Preston reports. Tao did not specifically mention the PlayStation 5, and it’s possible the company could attempt to protect pricing on its console through price hikes elsewhere in its electronics business, the author notes.
