Barclays analyst Pallav Mittal lowered the firm’s price target on Smurfit Westrock (SW) to $54 from $56 and keeps an Overweight rating on the shares. The firm thinks a “renewed” spike in costs from the Iran conflict supports the pricing cycle for paper and packaging. However, higher inflation could delay volume recovery and higher costs could squeeze margins in the near-term, the analyst tells investors in a research note.
