Under the Online Criminal Harms Act, Singapore has ordered Apple (AAPL) and Google (GOOGL) to prevent the spoofing of government agencies on their messaging platforms, Reuters reports, citing the home affairs ministry. This comes after police in Singapore observed scams on Apple’s iMessage and Google Messages from sources claiming to be companies such as the local postal service SingPost.
