Samsung (SSNLF) has turned to Chinese customers like Baidu (BIDU) to prop up its ailing chip business, The Financial Times’ Christian Davies, Song Jung-a, and Zijing Wu report. In a previously unreported deal, Samsung last year sold more than three years’ supply of logic dies to Kunlun, the semiconductor design subsidiary of Baidu, according to people familiar with the matter.
