Royal Caribbean (RCL) has had its planned large water park on Mexico’s Caribbean coast rejected by authorities following environmental concerns and local opposition, according to Environment Minister Alicia Barcena, Reuters’ Daina Beth Solomon and Natalia Siniawski report. Royal Caribbean told Reuters it regretted the decision but respects Mexico’s environmental authorities. Shares of Royal Caribbean are down 4.7% to $235.59 in morning trading.
