Remitly Global (RELY) announced the appointment of Sebastian Gunningham as CEO and member of the board of directors, effective February 19. Gunningham succeeds co-founder Matt Oppenheimer, who decided to transition the role of CEO to a new leader. Oppenheimer will continue to serve as chairman of the board. Most recently, Gunningham served as chairman of Santander Consumer Finance and vice chairman of Openbank.
