Australia is broadening ts social media ban for under-16s to include Reddit (RDDT) and Kick, which join Facebook (META), Instagram, Threads, Snapchat (SNAP), TikTok, X, and YouTube (GOOGL), ABC’s Clare Armstrong reports. The ban will begin from December 10. Australia’s eSafety Commission has declared the nine services currently meet the criteria for being included in the ban, specifically that their “sole or significant purpose is to enable online social interaction.”
