Reckitt Benckiser (RBGLY) is weighing new options to advance a sale of its Essential Home unit, home to Air Wick fresheners and Cillit Bang cleaners, after offers fell short of expectations, Reuters’ Amy-Jo Crowley and Richa Naidu report, citing two people with knowledge of the process. The company still intends to sell the business, and private equity firm Advent is still in discussions for the assets, the authors note. Reckitt could opt to maintain a stake in the business or structure a deal a different way to bridge a gap in valuations, the authors say.
