Tesla’s (TSLA) push to secure European approval for its Full Self-Driving system has run into friction, after the Dutch vehicle authority RDW refuted Tesla’s claim that it committed to granting national approval in February 2026, Bloomberg’s Charlotte Hughes-Morgan and Craig Trudell report. RDW clarified that Tesla may be able to demonstrate FSD at that time, but no approval has been promised. “We do not share details about ongoing applications from manufacturers, as this concerns commercially sensitive information,” the authority said. “Both RDW and Tesla are aware of the efforts needed to reach a decision on this matter in February. Whether this timeline will be met is yet to be determined in the coming period.”
