Radius Recycling disputes allegations in indictment, intends to defend itself

In a regulatory filing, Radius Recycling noted that on June 28, the Alameda County Criminal Grand Jury returned an indictment against the company and two operations employees alleging felony and misdemeanor environmental regulatory violations for mishandling hazardous waste, including destruction of evidence, arising from the August 2023 scrap metal fire at the company’s Oakland, CA facility and the company’s subsequent shredding of the burned material. “The company disputes the allegations and intends to vigorously defend itself in connection with these allegations. The company does not anticipate that the ultimate outcome of this matter will have a material adverse effect on its results of operations, financial condition, or cash flows,” the filing stated.
